With the ‘One District, Two Products’ scheme, self-employment opportunities will be created for the local farmers and craftsmen on the one hand and on the other hand the local products of every district will be recognized as world class.

With the aim of promoting local products in all the districts of Uttarakhand, the ‘One District, Two Products’ scheme has been implemented. Under the Uttarakhand One District Two Product Scheme, 2 products will be developed in each district. The selected products will be developed as per the market demand with the help of modern technology through skill and design development and raw materials under the UK One District to Product scheme.

Launch of One District Two Product Scheme Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand One District Two Product Scheme is the brainchild of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The first District 2 Product Scheme was launched through a government order issued on 25 October 2021. Local products of all the 13 districts of Uttarakhand will be identified and any two of them will be developed under the One District Two Product Scheme.

Under the scheme, two products will be developed in each district on the basis of new technology through skill development, design development, raw material according to the market demand.

“एक जनपद दो उत्पाद” योजना के अंतर्गत विभिन्न स्थानीय उत्पादों को बढ़ावा देने एवं अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर प्रचार – प्रसार हेतु योजना का शासनादेश जारी कर दिया गया है।

Objective of Uttarakhand One District Two Products Scheme

The objective of the scheme is to develop traditional and craft industries in all the 13 districts of Uttarakhand by identifying the local products there. The local products of Uttarakhand will now be recognized in the country and the world market under the One District Two Product Scheme. With the increase in the business of products, employment opportunities will also increase. The selected products of the Industries Department will get the facility of packaging, testing, broadening and logistics at the district level itself.
