Karnataka Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship Scheme 2024

The Government of Karnataka launched the Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship on 7th August 2021 in order to provide scholarships to the children of farmers. Through this scheme scholarships amounting to Rs 2500 to Rs, 11000 will be provided to the children of farmers who are pursuing higher education. The amount of scholarship will be transferred directly into the bank account of the beneficiary through the direct benefit transfer method. This scheme ensures that each and every student of Karnataka will get higher education.

In order to get the benefit of this scheme students are required to register on the portal. This scholarship will also encourage the children of the farmers to pursue higher education. Children of farmers will also be able to get the benefit from the scheme even if they are already getting the benefit of any other scholarship scheme.

Extension Of Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship Scheme

The Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai has announced the extension of the Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship Scheme on 11th April 2022. This decision has been taken in order to increase the literacy rate and reduce the unemployment rate in the state. Now the beneficiary will be able to take benefit of this scheme in the year 2022-23. This announcement was made during a program at Uchila Mahalaxmi temple in the Udupi district. Under the scheme, hostel facilities will also be provided to the students who belong to fisherman families in order to avoid any disruption in higher education to the students of weaker sections.

This facility will be provided by the department of social welfare. Through this scheme scholarships ranging from Rs 2000 to Rs 11000 will be provided to the students for higher education. The amount of scholarship will be directly transferred into the bank account of the beneficiaries.

Objective Of Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship

The main objective of the Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship Scheme is to provide scholarships to the children of farmers so that they can continue their education despite facing financial hurdles. The minimum amount of scholarship provided through this scheme is Rs 2500 and the maximum scholarship is Rs 11000. This scheme is also going to promote higher education among farmer’s children. Other than that with the implementation of this scheme the children of farmers will be encouraged to complete their education. This scheme is also going to increase the literacy rate of the state.

Applicant must be a permanent resident of Karnataka.
The father of the applicant must be farmer by profession.
Applicant must have passed class 10th examination from recognized School by central or State board.

On the homepage you are required to click on on Scholarship program for farmer children under online service section

On this new page if you have Aadhar then you have to select yes or else no

create an account

If you have selected yes then you have to enter the Aadhar number, name, gender etc
If you have selected no then you have to enter the EID number, EID name, gender etc
Now you have to tick on the declaration
After that you have to click on proceed
Now a new page will appear before you
On this page, you have to enter all the required details
After that, you have to upload all the required documents
