Progressive Pragatisheel Pashupalak Protsahan Yojana has been launched by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 24 June 2023. Through this scheme, the state government will provide an incentive amount of Rs 10 to 15 thousand to dairy farmers and cattle rearers for rearing indigenous cows of advanced breed and high productivity. This incentive amount will be given by the government to cow farmers on the purchase of maximum two indigenous breed cows. The incentive amount provided under Pragatishil Pashupalak Protsahan Yojana will be sent by the state government to the applicant’s bank account through DBT. By availing the benefit of this scheme, the income of cattle herders will improve. Due to which he will become self-reliant and strong. Besides, other cattle farmers can also be motivated to avail the benefits of this scheme.

Objective of Mukhyamantri Pragatisheel Pashupalak Protsahan Yojana

The main objective of starting the Progressive Pragatisheel Pashupalak Protsahan Yojana by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is to provide incentives in the form of financial assistance for rearing good breed cows. So that cow rearing can be promoted in the state. Besides this, milk production will also increase. By availing the benefit of this scheme, the income of farmers and cow herders will increase.

Benefit of subsidy will be available on purchase of 2 indigenous breed cows

Giving information about the Progressive Pragatisheel Pashupalak Protsahan Yojana, Milk Commissioner and Mission Director Shashibhushan Lal Sushil has said that under the Nand Baba Mission, to accelerate the milk production, the state government is planning to expand milk production from other states like Punjab to Sahiwal, Rajasthan to Tharparkar, Gujarat to Gir. On purchasing indigenous breed cows, a grant of 40% of the total expenditure related to transportation for various items i.e. a maximum of Rs 40 thousand per cow will be given. This amount will be given to cow farmers for the transportation cost of bringing cows from other states to the state, transistor insurance and animal insurance for 3 years. Let us tell you that this grant amount will be given only then. When 2 indigenous breed of cows will be purchased by the cattle farmers.

  • Progressive Pragatisheel Pashupalak Protsahan Yojana has been started by the Uttar Pradesh Government to provide benefits to the cattle rearers.
