The Uttarakhand government has announced the Vaishnavi Suraksha Yojana. The main objective of this scheme is to promote the birth of girls, in whose house a girl will be born in Uttarakhand, if she sends her selfie with that same girl then she will be given Vaishnavi safety kit Will be given.

The Vaishnavi kit provided under the Vaishnavi scheme will include many things for the immediate use of the daughter. Additionally, the government will also send a congratulatory message to that family at the same time. Vaishnavi Suraksha Yojana will be conducted by Women and Child Development Department, Uttarakhand. The scheme has been started on the basis of “Beti Padhao Beti Bachao Abhiyan”.

Salient features of Vaishnavi Suraksha Yojana

• According to this scheme, the beneficiary will get all the assistance from any nearby courtyard worker, government hospital and ANM within 24 hours immediately.
• For this scheme, the Women and Child Development Department will give a toll free number in which you can take a newborn selfie with your family and send it in it.
• A congratulatory message will be sent to the family from the Women and Child Development Department and from the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
• The beneficiary family will be given new clothes and a Vaishnavi kit for the Navjat by the Anganwadi worker.
• Under this scheme, a Vaishnavi card will be given to the beneficiary family which will be connected to many schemes.
• Through this scheme, the beneficiary family will also get an insurance cover.

• On the birth of girl child, parents, family members and newborn girl have to click a selfie which has to be submitted to the nearest Anganwadi centers.
• The beneficiary family will be contacted by the nearest government hospital or ANM and Anganwadi workers within 24 hours.
• Then the ANM / Anganwadi workers come to the house in which the girl is born and take another baby selfie with all the family members. This photo is to be forwarded to the Nodal Officer concerned.
• Later, Anganwadi or ANM workers provide Vaishnavi kits and clothes for the girl.
  Along with this, a congratulatory message will be given from the CM and District Officer to the family of the girls.
• Now the state government is working on a toll free number, on which information about the birth of girls can be given on the phone itself.
