What is Apaar ID

Apar ID stands for Automatic Permanent Academic Account Registry. Apar ID number will be a kind of unique number. Like Aadhaar or Voter ID number. This Apar ID will be issued to all the school children of the country which will remain permanent. Its completion will facilitate the government in making plans for the future of children. Once the children get the ID number, it will always be useful. If a child takes admission in a school from one district to another or in a school in any district of the country, then his complete data will be visible only through APAAR ID. Only one ID will be useful for a student in the entire country.

Like the Aadhaar card number, the Apar ID number will be unique. Using which will become mandatory for children everywhere in future. Through this ID, data of student’s exam results, report card, health card, Olympiad games and other contributions of all classes will be easily available at one place.
Credit score key will be given to the students through Apar ID, the advantage of which will be that the students will be able to use the credit score for their higher education or to get employment.
Students will also be able to use their credit score in the entrance exams conducted by NTA or other universities.
The benefits of government schemes will be provided directly to the children by the government through Apar ID.
There will be no problem in providing scholarships, awards etc. to children through APAAR ID.

Apply for Apaar id card

All government and private schools in India will soon have their own unique identification number. As part of the National Education Policy, NEP 2020, the Union Education Ministry plans to create “One Nation, One Student ID”. This will be called “Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR)”. The schools authorities have to enter the details in the Apar card and do the student registration. There is no need for students to apply online for Apar ID.

In addition to the 12-digit Aadhaar ID that every student has, Aapar ID will also be created. It is for every student from pre-primary to higher education. An education ecosystem registry or EduLocker, the APAR ID will be treated as a lifetime ID number and will track the academic journey and achievements of students. Maharashtra state government has asked all schools to take consent from parents of students to create Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR), a new identity card for students under the new “One Nation, One Student” scheme launched by the Central Government.
