Gujarat Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Scheme 2024

The state government of Gujarat is yet to come up with Gujarat Mukhyamantri Mahila Kalyan (Utkarsh) Yojana. It is a scheme that will provide loan to the women of the state, but the specialty of the loan is, it will be interest free. The scheme is believed to empower the women in the state. It will give them a sustainable life and due to that the scheme will cover both rural and urban area. The prolonged lockdown has crippled the livelihood so, this step was needed.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani is going to announce this scheme on the occasion of birthday of Pradhanmantri Narendra Modi ji. Under this scheme government is going to provide interest free loan facility to women self help groups. Gujarat mukhymantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana will provide benefit to around 2.51 lakh Sakhi mandals registered in rural areas. Also government is going to provide benefits to 24,000 Sakhi Mandals registered in urban areas. The women’s self help group bill are eligible to get benefits under mukhymantri Kalyan Yojana.

Key features of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Kalyan Yojana

• The scheme will help the women to improve their financial situation while the pandemic is still pervasive.
• Scheme will give interest-free loan so from now on women will get hassle-free loan from the bank.
• The scheme will cover 24,000 sakhi mandals of urban area, and 2.51 lakh sakhi mandals in rural area.
• According to the survey, there are 27 lakhs women in the state who will be benefitted.
• The state government has decided to lend 1,000 crore rupees to the registered under joint liability and earning group.
• As per the scheme one lakh rupees will be lent to individual beneficiary.
• To implement the scheme, 50,000 JLEGs will be formed in rural areas and 50,000 JLEGs groups will be formed in urban areas having 10 women in each group.
• Along with zero interest loan the state govt. will also waive off stamp duty charge for the loan.

Eligibility criteria for the Scheme

• The women who want to apply for the scheme have to be domicile of the state.
• To apply for the scheme the women has to be the part of self help groups of Gujarat.
• If the SHGs have good record in repaying the loan on time, then only they are eligible to apply.

How to apply for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Scheme

The self help group has to visit the website for online registration. The portal will be launched soon after the scheme is launched. In order to provide interest-free loan, the state government will bear the interest on behalf of the beneficiary. In the last state budget the government has allotted 193 crore for the women welfare scheme. Under the scheme the government will provide the interest-free loan so that the women can come up sustainable livelihood ideas to fight against the financial crisis caused by the pandemic.
