Indira Gandhi Pyari Brahmin Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana has been started by the Himachal Pradesh government to make women self-reliant. Through this scheme, the government of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will provide the benefit of monthly pension of Rs 1500 to women above 18 years of age from the month of April. For this, terms and conditions have been set by the government. Besides, forms for Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana have also been released.

Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana has been started to provide financial assistance to the poor and needy women of the state. Under Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, eligible women will be given financial assistance of Rs 25 to 1500 for the financial year 2024. This financial assistance amount will be sent to the women’s bank account through DBT. To provide the benefits of this scheme to the eligible women of the state, Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana application forms have been invited by the government.

More than 5 lakh eligible women of the state will be given the benefit of this scheme by the government. The benefit of this scheme will be provided by Himachal Pradesh Government especially to women who do not get regular income. Women will have to go to the Tehsil Welfare Officer and fill the application form. Tehsil Welfare Officer will verify the form. Only after this the funds for Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana will be released by the concerned department.

Eligibility for Sukh Samman Nidhi Scheme

  • This scheme has been started for the women of helpless and poor class families living in the state, in such a situation, women holding below poverty line certificate will be able to easily apply under this scheme.
  • If any member of a woman’s family is found to be a pensioner, contract outsourced government employee, daily wage earner, part-time category employee or income tax payer, then that woman will not be considered eligible for the benefits of this scheme.
  • Similarly, if a woman belongs to the family of multi-task worker, mid-day meal, Asha worker, employee of Panchayati Raj institutions, urban local bodies, pensioner working in any agency, etc., then she will not be given the benefit.
  • To apply under the scheme, a woman must be above 18 years of age.

Objective of Himachal Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana

The main objective of releasing the Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana Application Form is to facilitate the eligible women and daughters of the state to apply for a monthly pension of Rs 1500 every month. So that by providing financial support to the daughters and women above 18 years of age of the state, they can be made self-reliant and empowered. Only after filling the application form, women will get a monthly pension of Rs 1500 every month under the Sukh Samman Nidhi Scheme.

Benefits and features of Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana

  • To avail the benefits of Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, eligible women of the state will have to fill the application form.
  • Women will be able to get the benefit of monthly pension only after filling the application form.
  • Under the Sukh Samman Nidhi Scheme, women will be given the benefit of monthly pension of Rs 1500 from next month.
  • The amount of financial assistance provided by the government will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of women.
  • Around 50,000 eligible women of Himachal Pradesh will be benefited through this scheme.
  • Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana will be filled through offline process.
  • Eligible women of the state can apply by going to the Tehsil Welfare Officer.
  • This scheme will provide financial assistance to women and make them self-reliant. Due to which women will be able to earn their living without depending on anyone else.

There will be no benefit if there are members of these categories in the family.

  • Women will not be included in the scheme if any member in the family is a Central or State Government employee, pensioner, contract, outsourced, daily wage earner, part-time category employee.
  • Apart from this, women who are serving or ex-servicemen, military widows, honorarium workers, Anganwadi workers, mid-day meal workers, multi-task workers, social security pension beneficiaries etc. will also not get the benefit of this scheme.
  • Similarly, employees of Panchayati Raj Institutions, Urban Local Bodies, various public sector boards under the Central State Government, pensioners working in counseling agencies, persons registered for Goods and Services Tax and women from the family of income tax payers will also not get the benefit of this scheme.

How to fill Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana Form?

If you fulfill the terms and conditions of Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, then you can submit the application form under this scheme through the offline process. The process to apply for filling the Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana form is given below which is as follows.

  • To fill the Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana form, first of all you have to go to your nearest Tehsil Welfare Office.
  • By going there you will have to get the Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana application form from the Tehsil Welfare Officer.
  • After receiving the application form, you will have to enter the information asked in it like information about account opened in bank or post office, Aadhaar number, ration card number, information related to BPL family, caste and minority community etc.
  • After entering all the information, you have to attach the required documents with the application form.
  • Now you will have to submit this application form along with the documents to the Tehsil Welfare Officer.
  • Your form will be verified by the Tehsil Welfare Officer. After all the information and documents are verified, funds under the scheme will be released to your bank account by the concerned department.

Under this scheme, application forms will be received free of cost in the office of District Welfare Officer and Tehsil Welfare Officer. Apart from this, application forms have also been made available on the departmental website. Applications having deficiencies will be sent back within 15 days for correction. Every year, 10 to 25 percent of the beneficiaries included in the scheme will be inspected.
