Through the Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana, transportation facilities from village to block and to district headquarters and city will be made easier. This will facilitate the poor people, farmers, laborers, students etc. to reach the city. Now with the launch of this scheme, people will get relief from having to walk several kilometers and go through the difficulties to catch a train. It will be easier for students to go to school and college, for farmers to go to market and for patients to go to hospital. Besides, the interest of vehicle owners will also be kept in mind under this scheme. So that the vehicles included in the journey can be protected from damage.

Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana is to be started for better road transport facilities in the rural and remote tribal areas of Jharkhand. Under this scheme, rural areas will be connected to block, sub-division and district headquarters. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday held a high-level meeting with Transport Department officials and gave necessary guidelines to successfully operate the Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana.

The Chief Minister has said that in determining the routes under the scheme, special attention should be paid to the places of public utility and for the operation of buses, routes should be determined in such a way that schools, hospitals, colleges, weekly markets, local markets and railways are located. So that the villagers can get convenience in commuting through this scheme. An app will be prepared so that the villagers can get continuous information about the buses operated under this scheme. This will enable us to know how long the bus will run and where it will reach. Now villagers will not have to wait for buses due to lack of information.

Objective of Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Gram Gadi Yojana

Jharkhand is a tribal dominated area. People are not visible here i.e. the villages of Jharkhand are far away. In such a situation, there is no good transport facility in any village. Some villages are 25 km away from main roads and main bus stations. In such a situation, people have to run to escape. Therefore, the government has launched the Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana to ease transportation in Jharkhand and provide passenger vehicles even in remote areas.

Mukhyamantri Gram Gadi Yojana Jharkhand Benefits and Features

Gram Gaadi Yojana has been started in those areas of Jharkhand where there is no road transport.
Private bus owners of the district can also apply for this scheme and operate their vehicles under this scheme.
Through this program the government aims to provide transportation facilities from village to neighborhood, district center and city.
With this scheme, it will become easier for students, farmers and common people to reach the city and it will also be easier for patients to reach the hospital quickly.
Vehicle owners participating in the program also receive a state tax rebate, allowing them to pay less for registration and permit fees.
The government said that under this scheme, registration will be issued for just one rupee and road permit will be issued for just one rupee.
Apart from buses, trucks and cars can also be connected to this system.
According to the government, this scheme will include passenger cars and buses ranging from 7 to 42 seats.
Under Jharkhand Gram Gaadi Yojana, in the first phase, approximately 500 vehicles across Jharkhand will be covered under this scheme.
Under this scheme, priority will be given to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward communities and local population.
Under this scheme, a committee will be formed at the state, district and block level, in which DC will be appointed as the chairman of the district level committee and BDO will be appointed as the chairman of the district level committee.
The government said that under this scheme, bus stops will be established in rural areas also and the color of the vehicle running under this scheme will also be different so that the passengers can easily identify it.
The block and district level committee will decide the fare for the vehicles coming under the scheme.

Citizens of the state will get exemption from rent

Through Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana, such children who live in villages but have to go to the city for their studies, farmers who want to sell the paddy grown in their fields in the city market, disabled people whose physical and mental disability is more than 50%. More than Rs. 1,000/-, widow women and retired government employees will be provided fare concessions to travel to the city. Through this scheme, all these people will be given 100% fare waiver.

Drivers will get tax exemption

Vehicle drivers will be included through this scheme and those drivers will be given exemption on registration tax. If a driver wants to buy a vehicle for Rs 20, then the government will provide him Rs 4 lakh margin money and 80% loan. Also, 5% interest rebate will be given on loans taken for 5 years. Apart from this, the interest of bus owners will also be taken care of under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Gaadi Yojana. So that the vehicles participating in the yatra can be protected from damage.

Registration and road permit will be issued for only Re 1

Under the Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana, the government will issue registration and road permit for just Re 1. Which will encourage drivers. And the movement of vehicles and buses from village to city and district headquarters will gain momentum. Due to excessive fees, people were not interested in registration and road permit, but at present, more than 6 seater passenger vehicles charge more than Rs 50,000 as registration fee. Apart from this, permits also cost a lot of money. Now through this scheme, people traveling from village to city, truck or bus will be able to show interest.
