Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, unemployed youth of the country will be provided training in about 40 technical fields like construction, electronics and hardware, food processing, furniture and fittings, handicrafts, gems and jewelery and leather technology. The youth of the country can choose the course in which they want to get training as per their wish. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), the Government of India has opened training centers in every state and city of the country. Free training will be provided to the beneficiaries. Under this Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, the central government arranges entrepreneurship education and training programs for the youth for the next 5 years.

The Government of India has launched Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana with the aim of providing skill training to students, dropouts and unemployed citizens. Under this scheme skill training will be provided through 5000 centres. This information was provided by the Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Rajiv Chandrashekhar. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, training centers will be opened in every district of India. About 5000 training centers will be operated in the first phase of this scheme.

Women will also be encouraged to get skill training under this scheme. This scheme will prove to be effective in providing employment to the citizens of the country. Apart from this, the citizens of the country will become strong and self-reliant through this scheme. This scheme will also prove to be effective in the development of the country. Apart from this, citizens of rural areas will also be able to improve their standard of living through this scheme by getting training.

PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana was launched to provide training to the youth of the country. Under this scheme, a target was set to cover one crore youth by 2020. So that employment can be provided to all these people. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, registration for 3 months, 6 months and 1 year can be done and after the completion of the training period, a certificate is also provided which is valid throughout the country. Under PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, a target has been set to provide training to 40.2 crore people by the year 2024.

Beneficiaries do not need to pay any fees for this training. You have to apply by visiting the official website only. Under Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, youth can get training in areas like electronics, hardware, fittings etc. Many telecom companies have been roped in by the government for the successful implementation of this scheme.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana Monitoring

• After the project is created, all the candidates will be enrolled by the SPIA.
• The implementation of the project will be monitored by SPIA.
• Those projects which are not started after approval within the stipulated time will be rejected.
• If the projects are not handled properly, then in this situation they can be started again and can also be closed.
• NSDC, SSDM and DSC will participate in the monitoring of the scheme.

• A Grievance Redressal Mechanism will be established under this scheme.

• Under the third phase of this scheme, about 220000 citizens will be provided short-term training.

Administrative Structure of Skill Development Scheme

• A steering committee will be constituted under this scheme. Through which the guidelines of the scheme will be made.
• An executive committee will also be formed under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, through which the implementation of this scheme will be monitored.
• The Steering Committee will be chaired by the Secretary, MSDE and the Executive Committee will be chaired by the Additional or Joint Secretary, MSDE.

Components of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana

• Short Term Training- The short term training under this scheme will be around 200 to 600 hours or 2 to 6 months. All unemployed citizens can do this training. All those citizens who will successfully complete this training will also be provided placement.
• Recognition of Prior Learning- RPL training will be of 12 to 80 hours. Under this training, training related to business will be provided to the youth. All those citizens who have experience related to any business can get this training.
• Special Projects- This component is for those projects which require some deviation from the terms and conditions of short term training under the scheme depending upon the special needs with reference to geography, population and social group. In the special projects component, training is provided in particular areas or campuses of government institutions, corporate or industry bodies.

Some important guidelines related to Kaushal Vikas Yojana

• Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is administered by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
• Through this scheme the youth of the country are trained so that they can get employment.
• Short term training of 150 to 300 hours is provided through this scheme. Apart from this, special project and RPL training is also provided.
• For the operation of special project under Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, hard copy and soft copy of your project will have to be submitted to the concerned department.
• Biometric attendance of trainees will also be submitted under this scheme.
• All the trainees will be screened by the nodal officers at the time of application.
• In case the login credentials are not received in time, the Nodal Officer may be contacted by the trainee.
• All those applicants who do not have Aadhar card can get the benefit of this scheme through special camp.
• Accident insurance is provided to the citizens trained under this scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
• In the event of an accident, ₹ 200000 is provided through this insurance. (in case of death or permanent disability)
• If the applicant is not able to pass the course or is not able to do the course due to any reason, he can do the course again.
• Only one application can be made for reassessment.
