Uttarakhand Balika Shiksha Protsahan Yojana 2024
Balika Shiksha Protsahan Yojana Uttarakhand has been started for girls by the Uttarakhand government. Through this scheme, all the girl students taking admission in class 9 of the state will be given the benefit of free cycle scheme. All girl students studying in government and non-government schools will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme. To buy a bicycle, an amount of Rs 2850 will be sent to the bank account of each student through DBT. Which will be deposited from the office of the Chief Education Officer of the concerned district.

Under the Balika Shiksha Protsahan Yojana, all the girl students of class 9 studying in the schools of the plain area will have to compulsorily purchase a bicycle. Whereas girls from hilly areas have been given the option of purchasing a free bicycle or depositing a 4-year FD in any authorized bank or post office. To provide the benefit of this scheme to all the girl students of the state, an amount of more than Rs 14 crore has been released by the Education Department.

Eligibility for Uttarakhand Balika Shiksha Protsahan Yojana
- The girl should be a resident of Uttarakhand.
- The girl must have successfully passed class 8th.
- The girl should be a student of class 9th in any government or non-government school of the state.
- The bank account of the applicant student should be linked to the Aadhar card.

How many girl students of which district will get the benefit?
- Under the Balika Shiksha Protsahan Yojana, an amount of Rs 1 crore has been released for 3492 girls in Almora.
- An amount of Rs 45 lakh has been allocated for 1595 girl students in Bageshwar.
- An amount of Rs 72 lakh has been given to 2533 girl students in Chamoli.
- An amount of Rs 47 lakh has been allocated for 1677 girls in Champawat.
- An amount of Rs 1 crore 60 lakh has been released for 5615 girl students in Dehradun.
- In Haridwar, an amount of Rs 2 crore has been given to 7075 girl students, while in Nainital an amount of Rs 1 crore 43 lakh has been given to 5021 girl students.
- An amount of Rs 75 lakh has been allocated for 2635 girl students in Pithoragarh and Rs 50 lakh has been allocated for 1736 girl students in Rudraprayag.
- Rs 1 crore 8 lakh has been released for 3780 girl students in Tehri and Rs 64 lakh has been released for 2258 girl students in Uttarkashi.
- An amount of Rs 2 crore 40 lakh has been allocated for 8429 girl students in Udham Singh Nagar.
